We provide support in the form of financial aid to cover private tuition costs, advice on choosing the right university and subject, and assistance with improving living conditions to give students the opportunity to focus on their studies and excel academically.

Our Model
Equal Opportunities taps into a network of fostering organisations and uses word of mouth to find motivated candidates from underprivileged backgrounds who have a strong desire to achieve academic success.
We understand that many of these students lack parental presence and guidance. Therefore, our approach is personalised, and our support is on-going throughout their academic journey.
As a first step, we meet the student in person in order to establish a close relationship and better understand their struggles, goals and aspirations. Then, together, we create an individual development plan - identify their domain of academic and professional interest; choose the relevant university or course they wish to pursue; establish a network of private tutors to help them achieve their best possible grades; provide continuous guidance and encouragement.
After they are accepted into a university or course, we assist students in finding affordable accommodation and provide financial aid throughout their studies. Our dedicated volunteers closely monitor each student's progress and meet with them regularly to provide encouragement, motivation, and celebrate successes.

Our Team
We are a group of friends who share a passion for education. Our common goal is to make a positive impact in the world by helping young people achieve their dreams. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their background, and that education is the key to unlocking a brighter future.
Our journey began with a simple idea – to make Christmas presents for children in residential care in Bulgaria. We quickly realised that we could do much more to help these children and their communities.
Our first step was to buy items of first need. We focused on providing basic necessities such as clothing, food, and hygiene products. While we were happy to help in this way, we knew that we wanted to make a more significant impact.
We thought that education was a fundamental factor in changing the root causes of poverty and inequality in Bulgaria. Children in residential care do not have access to quality education, and this lack of opportunity can lead them to a life of poverty and struggle.
We decided to start our charity, which is dedicated to providing financial and emotional support to children in care who want to go to university.
We are proud of the work we have done so far, but we know that there is still much more to be done. We are committed to continuing our efforts to provide education and support to children in care and other underserved communities. We believe that education is the key to creating a brighter future for all, and we are dedicated to making that future a reality.
